Tao Jiang

I was a Senior Computer Vision Engineer at an AI company focused on animal welfare, VetVisionAI, based in Derby, UK. My research interests span Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Computer Graphics, with a focus on Animal ReID and Tracking, Hand Tracking, Sign Language Recognition, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping(SLAM).
Previously, I worked as a Computer Vision Research and Development Engineer at the AR/VR company Zappar in London, UK. Before that, I was a Research Fellow at the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing (CVSSP) at the University of Surrey, where I worked with Prof. Richard Bowden.
I completed my Ph.D. at the National Centre for Computer Animation (NCCA), Bournemouth University, UK, under the supervision of Prof. Xiaosong Yang and Prof. Jianjun Zhang. I obtained both my Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China(UESTC).
